If you are a citizen of the Freely Associated States (Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or Palau) and you have a Social Security Number (SSN), you can complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by entering your information on the "Login" page.

If you do not have an SSN and have never submitted a FAFSA before, select "Enter the student's information" on the "Login" page and enter 666 in the first three positions of the SSN field. Leave the remaining six positions blank. Our system will assign you an SSN with the last six digits and display it in a message box when you reach the "Sign and Submit" page. You should save the nine-digit SSN that is assigned to you and continue to use the same number every year you complete a FAFSA.

If you do not have an SSN and have submitted a FAFSA before, enter the nine-digit SSN that was previously assigned to you (beginning with 666) in the SSN field. If our system previously assigned you an identifier beginning with 888, enter that identifier, but replace the 888 with 666.
